In keeping with its vision to bring together people from all faith traditions, Stanislaus County Interfaith Council announces its Third Annual Prayer Supper!
Scheduled for Thursday, June 20, the two-hour gathering begins at 6 pm, hosted this year by the Modesto Islamic Center. The Supper will feature appetizers, a halal meal with fish and vegetarian dishes, as well as ethnic desserts prepared by participating faith communities. Keynote speaker Leng Power, a practicing Buddhist and action manager for the county’s Behavioral Health and Recovery Services, will address the question, “Can Prayer Heal Our Divided World? “
Please join us for another rare opportunity to dine with members of other faith traditions while discussing both our unique prayer and meditative practices, and our shared journeys toward wholeness and peace.
Food is secondary. Fellowship and bridge-building is the main course!
