Project Resource

Project Resource is a program being used in dioceses around The Episcopal Church to encourage and empower churches to grow and be transformed through joyful giving.

The project offers extensive resources for stewardship, including year-round stewardship and pledge campaigns, asking for major gifts and planned giving.

We are excited by the possibilities this opens up for us as a diocese to support our congregations in this essential area of ministry, and we see this as a vital tool for years to come.

Project Resource is a journey, and ours continues as we go deeper into the materials, work out how they apply to our congregations and train teams of people to lead workshops and assist congregations locally.

The first step in this journey launches in September. Your diocesan Project Resource Team will be with you at deanery meetings to begin conversations about Impact Statements, WOW moments, Annual Giving, and Why we do this thing called “church”.

We are asking that each congregation discern 3-5 people to send to their deanery training. These people should be enthusiastic about the ministry of the congregation, they should have an attitude of generosity and abundance, and be able to follow through with tasks/projects. We are also asking clergy to attend this important training as well.

The schedule is as follows:

September 8: Northern Deanery Meeting at St Paul’s, Modesto
10am-12pm Pre-Convention deanery meeting
1pm-3pm Project Resource Training & Lunch

September 15: Central Deanery Meeting at St James Cathedral, Fresno
10am-12pm Pre-Convention deanery meeting
1pm-3pm Project Resource Training & Lunch

September 22: Southern Deanery Meeting at St Paul’s, Bakersfield
10am-12pm Pre-Convention deanery meeting
1pm-3pm Project Resource Training & Lunch

Please RSVP to Canon Anna (canonanna@diosanjoaquin.org) how many from your worshiping community will be attending by September 1.

This will allow us to have enough printed materials and food!
