The Day of Pentecost brings the Easter Season to a fitting conclusion as the virtues of Jesus of Nazareth rise in the Disciples of the Risen Lord. Our reflections on Pentecost afford us the opportunity to reflect on the Spirit in the life of Jesus and his earliest followers. The Spirit that came upon Jesus is the same Spirit that comes upon us as we strive to follow after Jesus in everything we say, think, and do. This Spirit is at work in the most challenging times of our lives. We will offer suggestions as to how the action of the Spirit might be discerned in the midst of conflict and division. Our troubled times indicate the Christ is still rising in the lives and actions of so many people moved and uplifted by the Spirit of the Nazorean.
