Exterior of church doors at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in ModestoAfter developing community partners with both Latino and non-Latino agencies, the Latino Ministry Team took a brief hiatus during the 2018 winter holidays. But we are back! We have targeted a needy community and have met with the principal, the student support specialist, and parents. Our folks and our new collaborators and friends are eager to start.the

On February 23rd, twenty-five parishioners spent the day at “Latino Ministry: A Day of Discovery.” The participants were engaged in learning about Latinos: their impact, their differences, their faith. This multi-mode presentation gave the participants the opportunity to hear, see, and discuss issues related to Latinos, and our call to be radically welcoming, while always remembering that our call is biblical. We are looking forward to including our new friends as members of the Latino Ministry Team and to grow together, sharing assets, fellowship, and more than those, our deep love of God, and the different lenses through which we interpret the Bible and life in Modesto.
